depression

I just feel so alone all the time. Even when I’m laughing and having a delightful time in the company of my bros. I think it’s probably the human condition to feel this way. Lonely and ashamed of it. And we devour the creative output of everyone trying to escape from the feeling while searching for the hints that we are not the only person feeling this way. And even when it happens, even when real people share their experiences, or we identify with fictional characters, even when we write in the plural, we still have this impenetrable wall of disbelief: there can be only us, because we are alone.
